So my inspiration for this look really came from the sneakers. I kept seeing these Vans on IG and obviously they’re a classic but I was never much a Vans kind of girl (not even when Daniel made them cool again). But the idea of buying Roche’s seemed pretty cliché. And low and behold, I love my sneakers. A couple of weeks later I bought the Balenciaga Speeds but I have to say I love my Vans more. Put together the right way, they can be stylish or casual and they are soooo comfortable. Honestly, wearing them I treat them like brand new all white Yeezy’s, checking constantly for scuffs or marks.
As far as the look is concerned, my shoot went pretty easy because it didn’t require too many detail shots. The outfit was clean-cut and had a clear vision. I just wanted something casual, something you throw on for last minute dinner plans with your home girls or even trips to Target (both of which I actually did).

I saw this sweater at Zara about a month ago. I love Disney but I’m actually not all that familiar with Snow White and honestly you don’t aver t be to rock this sweater, lol. For me, I thought a pop-culture inspired top would make the outfit more stylish than just cool and low-profile. Not that that’s bad, but wearing a graphic hoodie versus a plain one, always adds edge if done correctly. Getting it was a hassle. It sold out completely online and in –store. Now I live, eat and breathe Zara, so I know how to track down things I really want. Zara does a great service for its consumer by allowing us to locate items in local stores via their website or app. All we have to do is click on “check store availability” and our size and every store within 10 miles pops up with inventory. Luckily for me, Zara on 5th Avenue had 1 in stock and funny enough, it wasn’t even on the floor. I don’t know if this means they were season saving it or what, but I got pretty lucky (in more ways than 1). The sweater was pretty cool in person. The red was vibrant and really popped in pictures. I decided to keep in with the coolness of winter weather by wearing a navy blue coat from H&M.

I can’t remember the last time I wore jeans that weren’t eve n a little distressed, so naturally these from H&M complimented my skate park look. Finally, came my sneakers to tie it all together.

Now, before I said that getting the Sweater was lucky for me, in more ways than one. When I went to get the sweater, I actually ran into an old High School friend. We waited in line and talked about what we were c currently doing and how life’s been since HS. This individual coincidentally, worked at that Zara. And to my compete surprise, offered a discount to me so that I can but the sweater for less than its retail ($49.40). I insisted he didn’t have to but he did anyways. I hadn’t seen him in 5 years and yet he was kind about it and did the gesture without thought. Thus, my blogpost is named Brandon. I was so shocked but flattered by the act of kindness I called my sister and told her about it. It wasn’t the discount but rather the niceness that came from someone who I really haven’t even spoken to in so long.
Thanks Brandon!
